DoorDash
I participated in a designathon and completed this design challenge in 6 hours. My team and I designed a solution to encourage healthier eating habits for college students through food delivery.

Overview
DoorDash’s mission is to revolutionize the food delivery service by providing a convenient and health-conscious experience for all users, especially college students. They aim to promote food transparency through features like clear nutritional information, meal recommendations, balanced options, calorie tracking, meal planning tools, and affordable healthy choices. However, college students still struggle to eat healthily due to limited options, busy schedules, and tight budgets. How might DoorDash enable college students to be more conscious of their health and diet?
Dash, your personalized health companion! Healthy eating coach & tracker. Analyze your choices, suggest better options, and customize for your goals.

What would make users more incentivized to eat healthier?

Accountability partners are helpful, how about an accountability pet?
We jot down all our ideas onto a Google doc and voted on which ones brought the most delight and most tangible. The virtual accountability pet was the one that was voted to bring the most delight.

Introducing Dash, the DoorDash dog.
Healthy eating coach & tracker. Analyze your choices, suggest better options, and customize for your goals. You will be able to track your progress along with restaurant recommendations to suit your dietary needs. Additionally, you can customize your virtual pet to make it feel personalized and form a connection. Dash's mood will change based on if your eating habits were good that week.
Reflection
Although this challenge was slightly stressful, I had a lot of fun creating a solution for healthier eating habits. I learned to work in a fast paced environment and making decisions based on the time frame given. If we had more time, I would love to conduct some more further research and explore other ideas to ensure it would actually help students choose healthier foods options. Additionally, adding another social aspect feature could possibly help students have an actual accountability partner.
